The SWL listen to the Ham bands, the broadcast bands, the satellites, the utility stations... and also for some, the 11 m. free band. This activity is rarely practiced by SWL and many are discouraged by the mixed reception they receive, especially when exchanging QSL. While some operators are aware of SWL activity and are happy to confirm the SWL reports by QSL, electronically or on paper, others consider SWLs as cheaters trying to confirm unmade contacts... The purpose of the SWL DX Club is to publicize the SWL activity on 11m. and contribute to its recognition. The other objective is the sharing of experience between SWL.
The practice of DX on 11 m. is interesting and will be even more so in the years to come with the expanding solar cycle 25.

As on the amateur bands, it is possible to "work" the DXCC (the divisions), the IOTA, SOTA... In addition to the phone, it is possible to receive Morse code, SSTV, FS8, PSK... .

The SWL ID issued for the amateur radio bands are not suitable for listening on 11 m. The SWL DX Club offers you the free allocation of an SWL identifier for the 11 m band which responds to the codes and traditions of the 11 m. community. This ID consists of the numeric prefix of the division, the initials SWL and a serial number (department number + serial number for French). It makes it possible to make more suitable QSLs and to register on the 11 m Clusters.

Come and join us on the SWL DX Club Facebook page and post your experiences, tips, techniques, achievements...
